You ever notice how little was written about the lives of women? Same thing is true for all Melanated peoples. Why?

Because most history texts in Europe and the US were written almost always by white men from the 1500s to 1800s, and

while Melanated historians existed in other spaces for centuries, and by the 1900s began to produce great work in English as well, the US history curriculum at public schools DID NOT reflect that

and in many cases, still does not…

We are correcting this. Historians are “History-Warriors,” and this battle did not begin with us: I have to pay full respect and honor to the many historians who have given full voice to diverse figures in their research and writing.

While in grad school, one of our professors asked that we use EVERY PLATFORM we have access to in our efforts to share and teach history… and with that My Loves, I give you …
