White allies and any white person who is not supporting and voting for legislators who are removing our rights, this is not about you.

For all the rest though, what I am about to say applies to you.

Black People, Latinx, Arabic, Asian, Indigenous and every POC person, everyone from the LGBTQIA community — especially if you live in Louisiana, Florida and Texas- here’s the idea:

Do not spend money in any white-owned establishment.

I don’t want to isolate our white allies, but you all will need to showcase your support in order to avoid isolation.

How do we accomplish this boycott?

Start with the Black and Hispanic Chambers of Commerce to locate Black and POC owned businesses. I am not sure there’s something similar for LGBTQIA owned businesses, so please anyone reading this, let me know if that exists.

WeBuyBlack and ByBlack are 2 websites with Black owned businesses. Please comment and reply with any other resources that we can use.

For those asking, but how could you?

Look isn’t this what the far-right conservatives want? You don’t want us to “say gay,” You don’t want to learn about the history and current information about anyone who’s not white, so…

Essentially, you are asking to NOT interact with us. This just gives you what you want.

That means you do not have to interact or gain profits from 41% of the US population (that’s the total of those not white) and among your community, 7% identify as LGBTQIA, so let’s add that and 48% of the population can spend our money with each other, go to schools that teach full and complete history and science. (Click HERE for the data)

Then, let’s not forget the large number of white folks who are progressive.

26% are registered as progressives and I mean, at that point- you guys are not allowed to interact with somewhere between 60–70% of the US population! (I adjusted because I know some of this 26% were also counted with the LGBTQ community)

In 10 years, our children will be better educated than yours and we can all continue to have our own businesses and don’t forget those safe spaces you think are so hysterical.

so quite simply, if you don’t want to interact with us or learn about us, you don’t have to.

Let’s see how long the far right conservatives can survive without 60–70% of the population.

If you are still reading, this should also tell you something VERY IMPORTANT. We outnumber them. Who is we?

We are the people who support equal rights and opportunity. We are the people who either have been oppressed historically or those who reject their ancestors violence against POC.

So now you understand why Republicans have focused on gerrymandering and fighting to remove voting rights.

They know they cannot win an election of oppression because WE are the majority. I am proud of us for getting to where we are as a mass of beautiful supprotive people… BUT

I am also angry at us

because we do not vote often enough. We have no choice. We need to vote. We need to put pressure on leaders. We need to make it known.

Hate and Oppression are a disease that we will not tolerate.
