A Reflection: Who Am I As An Activist

Whether you read all of this or not, I hope you’ll try this experiment out on your labels too.

I decided to take a look at the different labels I have: those I accept, those I have mixed feelings about, and those I reject.

I won’t share them all here, but one that I felt the most inspired by was who I’ve been and who I am as an activist. My meditation on this one brought me to photos and memories and that path brought me back here, where I am…

an unbroken sequence of events that flowed onward, the next always inspired by what had come before it…

What follows are some of these photos and what they said to me while looking back …

I am an activist who has been an activist

even way before I knew there was a word for it.

To me it was just about doing the right things

and doing what you can when you can.
