First off, I hate using the term “poor” but I knew it would catch your attention.

The term poor removes the blame that belongs to people who don’t pay people enough. These are the underpaid. They are not “poor.” They are worthy and valuable people and it is their employers that are Underpaying them, ie. Abusing them for their labor.

In response to their struggles, most in leadership call for “affordable housing” But as a real estate agent and investor, I want to Expose something most people don’t realize.

Guess what happens when we only focus on “affordable housing?”

Wealthy people benefit and lower income people do not.

Government grants and subsidies are provided to developers that agree to provide “affordable housing” for a certain number of years.

What happens after those “years?”

The rents are allowed to go up and the low income people are displaced.

This is why I work so hard to help lower income folks Grow More Comfortable with #Homeownership and other strategies.
