Are Vaccines Safe or Dangerous?

Measles and Mumps cases are on the rise across the United States. Not surprising when vaccine conspiracy theories are increasing in popularity.

Measles saw a drastic increase in 2019 but dropped once the Covid pandemic started, likely for similar reasons that flu dropped. People were wearing facemasks and staying home more.

But that massive increase in 2019 was frightening for more than one reason.

It’s not the measles or mumps that is most concerning. It’s the likely incidence of Rubella.

The very common MMR vaccine protects against these 3 at the same time: the serious illness of Measles and Mumps, but also prevents the milder illness from Rubella.

If the disease is mild, why is there a vaccine? Here’s why.

Did you know that women exposed to Rubella have a major risk of having a child with disabilities of various sorts? What types of issues?
