I appreciate your testimony and that you added the additional note to say a woman should still have the choice.
But this last statement, about adoption needing to be more accessible, I would like to address. There are some women who do not want to endure the 36 to 40 weeks of pregnancy and possible lifelong changes to their body, and so they would still choose abortion.
Others are worried about the horror stories that some foster children and adoptees have faced.
Nevertheless, the idea of both being accessible may open an opportunity.
Perhaps the answer is to combine services in one space. Provide a seamless adoption selection process so the mothers can view the families interested in adoption while also being informed on the abortion process and aftercare.
Then give her a few days to consider and when she makes HER choice, let it be fully respected no matter what she chooses.
