Is this what you asked for? — A Message to Non-MAGA White Republicans in the USA

Here is what you ordered off the menu when you voted for Trump

1. higher prices on everything you use and medications.

2. less economic opportunity

3. higher unemployment

4. increased violence

All of this is on the table for 2025.

and for what? to have the civil rights improvements reversed? to block women’s health choices? to block the transgender community from the same freedoms you want?

#1 — None of these things hurt you or blocked you.

The 1965 Johnson executive order did not say you could be discriminated against. It said no one could and that there was now a legal right of everyone to seek justice if discrimination occurred.

You apparently assumed that meant you were not also protected by that order?

#2 — DEI was not anti white AND it was not mandated by law.

DEI efforts WERE NOT mandated by law. Companies CHOSE to focus on DEI measures because it created healthier and happier work environments.

Guess what else? DEI did not reduce job options for White Americans.

Guess what it did do. It ensured that companies developed practices to

1. increase objectivity when hiring (such as removing names off resumes to avoid bias) — Don’t believe you have bias. Ok. Take this test by Harvard and find out

2. DEI measures also looked like developing processes to help people with different opinions and lifestyles work together and reduce conflict.

DEI did a whole lot of this but DID NOT create hiring quotas so No,

there were never any DEI hires in the United States.

You were clearly misinformed.

#3 — Bathroom access for the trans community was NOT mandated by law.

Again, privately owned businesses and some government buildings CHOSE to provide access to bathrooms based on the person’s gender expression. No one made them do it.

But now, guess what — GOVERNMENT CONTROL IS ON THE RISE

and it’s all thanks to you. You said you did not want government control, but you voted for it.

1. Now the government is telling companies it’s against the law to have a DEI program.
2. The government says transgender folks cannot use the bathroom they are more comfortable with and businesses cannot provide gender neutral bathrooms even though it’s their freedom to do so?
3. The government now says that a woman cannot safely receive abortion care if the pregnancy is going to kill her or disable her. Now she has to risk death because — the government says so.
4. The government now says that farmers and construction firms can no longer hire the migrant workers they rely on, even though these migrant workers are a VERY IMPORTANT part of the United States economy and are less likely than citizens to commit crimes.
5. The government is now forcefully harassing any melanated person they want under the guise of “locating undocumented people,” or as the MAGA nuts call them “illegals.”

HERE IS WHAT IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN

1. Unemployment will increase as these small businesses suffer — Contracts and sub-contracts will be given to almost no one but white owned companies now, forcing thousands of Black and Latin owned and Women owned businesses to close and there will be massive unemployment increases as a result when these businesses close their doors and their employees are left in the dark.**(see bottom of article for more details)
2. Job options for Black and Brown people and Women will decline as businesses no longer have to attempt to be objective in hiring. How do I know? Because research showed how rarely a non-white person is interviewed in comparison to a white person in the United States.
3. Maternal deaths due to high risk pregnancies have already started to rise and will continue if the abortion ban is not removed.
4. Harassment and violence against the transgender community will increase.
5. Harassment and violence at the hands of vigilantes attacking people they believe are Latinx will also increase.

YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE IS GOING TO INCREASE — prices on everything.

1. The tariffs of 2018 led to a loss of 250,000 jobs in the United States before COVID. Most of you forget this because the pandemic must have zapped your memory.
2. Tariffs caused the same issues in the 1980s during Reagonomics and Reagan even warned that the tariffs ended up being a very bad idea and he warned to never do it again.

That took guts for Reagan to admit.

WE EXIST IN A HEALTHY GLOBAL ECONOMY and tariffs can and will disrupt that. We buy and sell to all of these nations that Trump wants to place tariffs on.

Do you know what that means?

1. Our businesses that sell to these other places will have to cut jobs when it becomes more expensive to sell their good to our global customers.
2. We will all have more expensive fruits, EGGS, electronics, cars, gas, etc as the tariffs kick in because the higher the tariff, the higher the price.
3. PRESCRIPTIONS for your grandparents just went up already! Trump removed the Biden protections on medication prices, such as diabetes medication. Who in your family has diabetes? I hope everyone can still afford their lifesaving medications.

**To the people who think government contracts had bias and preferred Black, Latin and Woman owned businesses. No. EVERY business that applies for government contracts has to meet certain standards that prove they can complete the work, such as road construction, HVAC installation, etc.

Once local and state governments started offering contracts to all firms in an open bidding process, accuracy in the work increased. There was less price gouging now that more businesses could compete for opportunity and the economy improved as well.
