Learning from Criminals: Living Off the Grid

Ever wonder how a crime boss avoids detection for years while their hired hands get caught doing their dirty work?

Here’s how to go incognito as a normal mostly law-abiding person.

Tip 1: Have nothing in your name

Get an LLC registered in your name and list that LLC as owner of everything: car, home, business, equipment, etc.

Tip 2: Direct your mail to a UPS box.

Many UPS locations also offer boxes on site that give you a street address instead of a PO Box. That means the address is accepted for all purposes.

Tip 3: Register all IDs and ownership to that UPS box.

Have your ID updated to the UPS box, as well as all items that you own, such as vehicles and property.

Only issue is… most states want your physical address on your ID, so while you can technically use the UPS box address for this purpose, make sure it doesn’t get you in trouble with local authorities, such as if you decide to be involved in criminal acts and the police come looking…
