Solving the Mysteries of Adam and Eve: The parts we got wrong

In the 3 Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) Adam and Eve were tossed out of the Garden of Eden for eating the forbidden fruit.

In some other creation traditions, there is some sense of a “forbidden access” to something that creates chaos.

Here’s what we’ve been misunderstanding for centuries:

What the forbidden fruit really symbolized?

Here’s my theory. Let me know what you think.

The forbidden fruit was also called “the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.” We have mistakenly thought it was literally fruit, when reality is, “fruit” was a term that when directly translated was misunderstood.

I think my career as a language teacher and my passion for poetry is what led me to this realization. We can’t even directly translate between 2 modern languages unless we understand the symbolism and cultural meaning.
