The Hate Distraction — Drag Queens, Black People, and Immigrants are not harming you
This is clearly a message for far right wing conservatives and christian nationalists. Not Christians and not regular 1990 style conservatives.
Ted Cruz, Marjorie Greene, and that whole crew are fueling rage toward people with clearly identifiable traits. The goal being to distract their white base from paying attention to what matters.
What’s not harming you?
A drag queen’s choice of clothing is not impacting your life. The dark skin of melanated people is not impacting you. The immigration flow into and out of our nation is not harming you.
None of this is negatively impacting anyone.
But it’s a popular strategy that’s been used for hundreds of years by those who use religion and “fear of the other” as a weapon to control.
Here’s how this works:
Societies always have certain basic needs:
security, food and water, and shelter and the economic freedom to provide for these. Education fits into this, because it leads toward economic freedom.
