What if (a poem about making the most of this life)

What if I told you that love wasn’t a mystery

But a mission?

And what if I told you that sex wasn’t blasphemy

But the sweetest inquisition?

Would you believe me if I drew out the lesson

Clearly right here before your eyes

Would you say “Hell Yea” and then leave from here

Saying all I did was lie?

What if I told you that love was never complicated

And it’s only our egos that make it so?

What if I told you that fear is a demon

And it’s really past time that we let it go?

Cause loving means connection like my phone to your signal

And the tree to the earth beneath

We give each other reason… to be.

What if I told you that this could be the beginning of forever

If you got past the past?

What if I told you that peace is like the feet and passion is the body

One aint getting no where without the other?

Would you pay close attention or drop out of the class?

What if I told you this is His words and not mine?

Would you take the time to consider

and think if anyone might know the birth right

Of these words, it should be me right?

would you consider it or just say I

did nothing but lie?
