What level of crisis are you in?

Gaining a healthy but also proactive perspective

Level 1:

Are you in immediate physical danger at this moment? Is anyone in your household in immediate physical danger?

Level 2:

Do you have water, food, shelter, clothing and the resources to clean yourself and your clothing?

Level 3:

Do you have means of communication: phone and/or computer? Are you able to interact socially with others (within reason of course due to Covid)?

Levels 1 and 2 are emergent crisis levels and require immediate attention, especially if you don’t have access to anything on Level 3 because without communication, how will you access what you need?

Most of you have probably said “yes” to all 3, so it’s a good time to pause,

reflect on this statement:

I am safe.

I have what I need to survive.

I can access what I need to survive.

This does not mean we won’t be frustrated by items on the next level, but this should put your mind in a more empowered perspective. When your basic needs are met, you can take more confident actions on other things and on…
