When Mr. or Ms. Right Just Aren’t Right for You

Was he right when he said: “You won’t find no one else like me.”

“You won’t find better than me.”

There are different versions of this statement and I’ve heard several of these.

But this is a story about just ONE of these times I heard this.

Attractive and financially responsible man. Good father. A gentleman by most standards, as in he opened doors, treated me well on dates, and overall showed respect to everyone in his day-to-day interactions.

So by all means, agreeing to a few dates with him was a wise choice.

Only there were 2 problems:

1 He lived an hour away (this one gets real interesting at the end of this story *wink*)

2 We had NOTHING in common

The dates were pretty basic, dinner, movie, and drinks. And each time he was respectful AF and I was so comfortable around him in that one area of dating. But F*** we had nothing to talk about.

Yea he listened to what I had to say and I listened to him, but we had nothing to OFFER each other that made any sense or advantage to each other’s lives.

He was all video games…
