The Joy of Life — everyone loves the vibe of visiting Louisiana but the haters often compare the state to either catching alligators or the smells of Bourbon St. For locals this is laughable because we indulge in the beauty of Louisiana and you guys have been missing out!
Imagine relaxing on large, screened in porches, sipping sweat tea or a Sazerac or mimosa, listening to soothing music, while dining on freshly shucked oysters and locally grown veggies with a perfectly spicy sauce to compliment! and everything was sourced and prepared within 15 miles of your house!
That's just one example of the lifestyle you can enjoy in Louisiana.

Dat L’argent — Lower Cost of Living
Dat L’argent is a combination of English “That” and French “Money.” When we say “dat l’argent” we mean enjoying or getting the big money.
While we definitely need an upgrade to the minimum wage laws here, overall, most places in the state can be comfortable with just $35,000 a year in income! This includes the metros and rural areas too.

We have won some important environmental milestones here and we continue to build on that. This includes the goal of establishing the Mid Barataria Diversion project, to build our coastline quickly and naturally.

Have you had real Louisiana Gumbo yet? Not just at restaurants. Have you ever had the dish at somebody’s moma’s house? The crawfish etouffee, beignets, yakamein, and healing remedies like Monglier tea are all original to Louisiana.
Zydeco, Cajun music, Jazz, Blues, Country, Hip Hop and Rock music all thrive in Louisiana. There are so many hidden gems that are perfect for day trips throughout the year, like Bailey’s, a fabulous restaurant with local music in Marksville, LA. Dance, eat and drink with locals.
or the Global Wildlife Center in Folsom, LA. It’s a legit safari with rescued older zoo and circus animals that get to live their best life in the open lands — just one hour from New Orleans.

This space includes luxurious guest houses, event spaces and nature trails. There are also gorgeous cabins with full kitchens onsite for private overnight stays.
Imagine living just an hour or two or even right next door to ALL of this!
and I haven’t even touched on the immense list of joyful attractions and peaceful experiences that Louisiana offers!
